Food of the Amalfi Coast

For the second of our Weekend With’ series, we are delighted to be welcoming Nina Parker, food writer, author and chef to The Cookery School this summer.

Nina draws her inspiration and unique style from the Mediterranean, having spent a large part of her childhood in the south of France.  Her debut book, ‘NINA St Tropez – recipes from the South of France’ was published in 2014 and her second book, ‘NINA CAPRI – recipes from Italy’s Amalfi Coast’ follows in June this year. Nina’s food and style of cookery are classically Mediterranean: simple plates which celebrate only a few ingredients in each. Her bright, modern dishes follow are healthy, Italian-inspired and usually gluten and dairy free.

Having recently worked in some of London’s most prestigious restaurants including; L’Anima in Liverpool Street, Alain Ducasse at the Dorchester, The Ledbury, Locanda Locatelli and Bocca Di Lupo’s Gelupo, a weekend spent in The Cookery School with Nina promises to be full of fabulous flavours and inspiring cookery, which will make the most of our organic summer produce from the Farm and Market Garden.

Join us on Friday evening, checking in and meeting your housemates in our beautifully restored Cotswold Cottages. Either take advantage of the hamper that awaits or let us book you a table for supper in our award-winning Farmshop Café.

Saturday will see you rise and join us at 9.30am for a day of hands-on cookery, demonstrations from Nina and of course the chance to eat together over a glass, or two, of wine from our sister estate in Provence. Saturday evening is your own to make the most of, whether you might like to have supper at The Wild Rabbit, in our Farmshop cafe or simply relaxing in your cottage.

On Sunday begin with a late-morning guided walk around our Market Garden and Farm before joining Nina and the team at The Cookery School for a celebratory Sunday lunch ‘Chef’s Table’. After being welcomed with a glass of Prosecco, take a front row seat while Nina cooks a four-course menu of seasonal dishes, each showcasing the best organic produce from our Farm and Market Garden.

Guests are welcome to stay with us on the Sunday evening, should your schedule allow.

Although the cottages are shared, each bedroom enjoys its own bathroom.
