Inspiring Dishes from The Market Garden
Our 25-acre organic Market Garden is the source of over 250 varieties of heritage fruit and vegetables. On this course we are joined by our Head Market Gardener, Jez, who will take you on a guided tour of the garden, with the chance to harvest your own veg box as you explore the wonderful array of produce he tends.
During the morning, you’ll have the chance to quiz Jez, picking up tips and techniques to take home and try out at home in your own gardens before returning to The Cookery School for a well deserved cup of coffee and some nibbles. We’ll then introduce you to your menu for the day before everyone gets hands-on turning their harvest into a series of delicious, seasonal dishes.
This course will give you the confidence to reach for vegetables which are sometimes overlooked, learning how to transform them into flavourful meals at the drop of a hat. Not strictly vegetarian, we will cover a number of dishes over the course of the day that you can recreate at home for family and friends.
This is the perfect course for keen kitchen gardeners or anyone seeking a little bit of inspiration to liven up their vegetable cookery at home.
£185 per person; includes practical and demonstration cookery sessions, lunch, refreshments and all course material.
