Your Day at Daylesford

During your time with us, you’ll work with fruit and vegetables straight from our organic Market Garden, celebrated organic cheeses as well as milk, cream and yogurts from our organic Creamery and artisan bread from our own organic Bakery. For our non-vegan or vegetarian courses, we will work with a range of our organic meat including everything from our own venison to our native breeds of lamb and beef. Fish and seafood is always sustainably sourced.

Each of our expert tutors have wealth of experience in the world of food – some have worked in some of the finest restaurants in the country, while others come to us with an intricate knowledge of everything from fermenting to foraging, nutrition and nourishment. Each of them share a passion for real food made with the finest seasonal ingredients.

About the Farm

Our Cookery School is located at the very heart of Daylesford farm in the Cotswolds where our traditional, grass-pastured animals thrive in our high welfare organic system. We produce our own lamb, beef, chicken, dairy, eggs and honey on the farm and for the last 40 years have been dedicated to a sustainable approach that protects our soil, wildlife and the natural habitat that surrounds us.

THE MARKET GARDEN

We grow over 300 varieties of organic fruit, vegetables, salad leaves and herbs in our Market Garden and with it located a mere 50 meters from the door to our Cookery School it is always the first port of call for fresh, inspiring ingredients.

Wherever possible, a trip to the Market Garden is included in our Cookery School courses. Equipped with baskets and trugs, guests are given the opportunity to harvest their own ingredients fresh from our organic soil to take back to the Cookery School kitchen to craft into something sensational.
