Junior Chefs: Children’s Cookery
This half-day course is aimed at junior chefs aged 8-12 years to build skills, confidence and independence in the kitchen.
Cooking is a real life skill and getting to grips with the basics at a young age helps to lay the foundation for a lifetime of food appreciation and healthy habits. Designed to spark their imagination and introduce them to all sorts of flavours and ingredients, this course gives children the chance to see how much fun cooking can be.
Beginning with an introduction to Daylesford and a guided tour of our 25 acre Market Garden, the course will inspire students to think about where their food comes from. Students will have the chance to harvest their own ingredients, which they will later use when getting hands-on creating their own dishes.
During their time with us, everyone will cook their own nutritious and delicious dishes, sitting down together to enjoy each dish they make, accompanied by organic Daylesford juices. Students will leave with a recipe pack and plenty of ideas to encourage them to keep cooking at home!
£65 per child, includes practical and demonstration cookery sessions, lunch, refreshments and all course material. Guests of The Cookery School also enjoy a discount of up to 25% in our Farmshop after their course.
