The Daylesford Summer Festival has fast become a highlight of our year. A day that sees our Cotswolds farm come to life with stalls, workshops, debates, crafts, dog show, singing, dancing and of course an array of delicious food – it is not to be missed. Each year we welcome guests of all ages to celebrate new life in the Market Garden and on the farms pastures and each year we are blown away by that festival-feeling of great joy and positivity that exudes from the day – and this year is set to be our best year yet!

BEES & MEADOWS:
This year, our Summer Festival is all about the bees. Join us as we celebrate these precious creatures who work to pollinate not only our flowers but our fruit tree, herbs and vegetables too. As you might have guessed, we have a host of bee related activities and workshops lined up.

THE FINEST FOOD & DRINK:
A love for food is central to everything we do at Daylesford and there will be plenty of seasonal flavours at the Summer Festival. Make sure your appetites are whetted and ready for an abundance of delicious organic food and drink from our Bakery, Creamery and Patisserie as well. Our barbecues and will be grilling the finest organic produce from the farm while our new Argentinian fire pit is set to be a show-stopper.
It goes without saying that ice-cream, strawberries, delicious Leoubé Rose, Prosecco and the finest organic produce will also be in abundance throughout. We also look forward to welcoming a Seedlip bar this year as well as an array of fantastic producers to our Producers Market. Our interactive afternoon tea tent is also set to impress this year with some new and innovative touches.
Arguably the highlight of the Summer Festival, our annual Dog Show with Lily’s Dog Food is not to be missed. Bring your furry friends along and enter on the day.

FARM & FIELD:
Our Senior Farms Manager Richard Smith and his dog Glen just so happen to be English Sheepdog champions. Find Richard, Glen and his other award-winning dogs demonstrating this age old skill throughout the day.
Demonstrations will be held at 11am, 1pm and 3pm.
THE BUSHCRAFT COMPANY:
Find the brilliant team from The Bushcraft Company manning open fires as they teach guests about surviving in the wild – with marshmallows of course!
Drop in at your leisure throughout the day.
Head down to the river to learn about the array of creatures living in our fresh waterways – join us for a spot of crayfishing at the same time.

WORKING HORSES & Falconry:
Watch the age-old art of falconry and horses at work. The farrier will also be demonstrating in this area while more modern day farming techniques will also be on display in the form of a range of our JCB tractors and trucks.
Falconry displays will take place at 12pm and 2pm, courtesy of ICARUS FALCONRY and each will last around half an hour.

Our sister company Agricology is all about working with organisations to help support sustainable farming in the UK. The team have therefore put together a fantastic line-up of speakers to lead our sustainable talks & discussions stage.

SHEEP SHEARING DEMONSTRATIONS:
For those curious about meeting our heritage breeds, join us in our Straw Barn to meet some of our hens and sheep while catching one of our sheep shearing demonstrations.

CAKE DECORATING COMPETITION:
We are calling all bakers to enter our exclusive cake decorating competition. Judged by our founder Carole Bamford, food writer and journalist Rose Prince and Head of our Patisserie Stephen Tarling, it is set to be a highlight of the day.
