Nestled in the centre of the village of Kingham, a stones throw from our Cotswolds farmshop lies our sister pub The Wild Rabbit. If you are ever in the area or passing through, a visit to their Michelin Star restaurant, cozy bar or beautiful rooms is a must. In the meantime, and in the spirit of the season, we thought we would share with you some of their sensational cocktail recipes.
SALTED CARAMEL WHITE RUSSIAN
An indulgent after dinner drink to enjoy by the fire.
50ml salted caramel vodka
35ml Irish cream
50ml double cream
Put all of the ingredients into a cocktail shaker and shake vigorously. Pour over ice into a classic tumbler and finish with an additional dribble of salted caramel vodka.
APPLE PIE MOSCOW MULE:
A classic cocktail given a festive twist by using out own vodka infused with apple and cinnamon.
1 part organic cloudy apple juice
1 part vodka infused with apples and cinnamon
1 part organic ginger beer
Mix together all of the ingredients in a cocktail shaker and pour into a copper mug or glass with a generous amount of ice. Garnish with sliced apples and a quill of cinnamon.
CHESTNUT WHISKEY SOUR:
Ideal as an aperitif and a true celebration of the season.
50ml single malt whiskey
25ml lemon juice
10ml simple sugar syrup
1 tsp chestnut cream (available from specialist grocers)
Put all of the ingredients into a cocktail shaker and shake vigorously. Pour over ice into a classic tumbler.
