27th Apr: Cyanotype Workshop: Cotswolds
This morning workshop aims to give you a brief historical and cultural insight into Cyanotype, a Victorian printing technique developed in the 1840s.
The workshop begins with a brief historical and cultural insight into this fascinating process. After this, the group will enjoy a guided foraging session in the Daylesford Cutting Garden at our Cotswolds Farm, searching for inspiration and plant materials to use as we undertake a basic introduction to the Cyanotype printing technique. You will then produce a variety of original Blueprints to take home.
Although this is not a messy technique, it is a good idea to wear clothes you would not mind getting splashed when washing prints. Please feel free to bring any objects or foliage from home you might like to use in your designs.
